Books

I will provide book reviews here. Reading has been a passion of mine since I was 17 and first read the bible completely through.  I have been reading ever since; in psychology, medicine, nature writing, science, religion, history, historical fiction, biography, literary fiction (novels and short stories), poetry and mysteries. I think it was reading that gave my imagination enough company to know I was not alone in the world no matter where I was or what my circumstance.  In reading I learned how vast is the experience and endurance of humanity and the world at large. I'm pretty sure that reading, which I found for ever and for real during my freshman year of college, gave me the courage to follow the dream I had to learn as much as I could about human experience and then how to be helpful to people as they faced life challenges.
